Blog: Tiger Invite to Feature Top Track Athletes from Many States

Top athletes from several states to compete locally.

South Pasadena High School's track and field stadium will play host to the third annual Tiger Invitational Friday night.

The meet will showcase top track athletes from all over the western USA. This year's event will feature nearly a 1,000 athletes from 65 high schools. Among the numerous schools competing from all over California, 16 schools from Hawaii, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Texas and Oregon have also entered athletes in the meet.

The meet is held in conjunction with the prestigious Arcadia Invitational, one  of the premier prep track meets in the country.  Race winners with top marks will qualify to participate in the Arcadia meet. Several SPHS track members will also compete in the various races. The first event will take place at 4pm. Food and beverages will be sold at the snack bar as will commemorative shirts. So if you love to see top amateur athletes perform at their best, this is a great way to spend a Friday night locally.
