If you already own guns, this article really isn't for you. On the other hand, if you don't own a gun, you should ask yourself a couple of questions: First, is there a non-trivial possibility that during the next 10 years there will be a riot similar to the 1992 L.A. riots? Second, would you want to have a gun for personal protection in the event of widespread rioting?
If you believe that widespread rioting is a possibility and you would like to have a gun for personal protection during a riot, why don't you have a gun now? If riots do break out, you will not be able to buy a gun in time to have it for protection because California has a 10-day waiting period.
I am not telling you that you should have a gun. But, you owe it to yourself to ask yourself why you don't have a gun and whether there is a realistic possibility that you will ever want a gun.
