Please be aware that the mezzanine loft at Charlie's, note the high angle of the video, is under bureaucratic attack for some arcane permitting snafu. Please sign their petition to keep the study/meeting loft open.

Buster's has never failed me, Kaldi is cool. And they're both close by. Have to try Charlie's, now that Laurie's got a show there.

Buster's just gets better over the years and they are celebrating 25 years in South Pasadena this October.

Union Bakery gets my vote. Superb almond croissants, as well.

Still have memories of evening hubs like "The Espresso bar" in Pasadena and "Cappuccino Charlie’s that was on Fair Oaks in South Pasadena (now Nonna’s Pizza). Such a Coffee Culture of days gone by. I’ll go to any independent coffee business in town, where I am on foot or close by where I am going, Coffee Bean too.

My favorite coffee house is Jones coffee located on Raymond in Pasadena.. At Jones' they grind the beans and have you sample before you try! Fabulous for coffee and ambiance. This is my "go to place"

I like to hang at the WFB Starbucks on Fair Oaks and El Centro. I know everyone who works there and they know me. See a lot of people there that I know.
