Update: Tree Lighting Rescheduled

Mayor Mike Ten will spark the lights on the tree on Dec. 1 at the Farmers Market.

Update: The South Pasadena Holiday Tree Lighting has been rescheduled for Thursday, Dec. 15. Former Mayor Mike Ten will light the tree at 5:30 pm. The entertainment schedule is currently being rescheduled. In the meantime, Santa Claus will continue to make appearances at the Market for photos and to hear kids’ wish lists throughout the month.

Update: Due to the severe weather and power outages, the and Tree Lighting have been cancelled for tonight.

Musical entertainment will be provided by a number of local South Pasadena groups, including the  (under the direction of Susan Pascale) and the Oneonta Congregational Church Chancel Choir. will once again be hosting a “make-an-ornament” station. 

Mayor Mike Ten will spark the lights on the tree near the at 5:30 p.m. After the holiday season, the tree will be planted permanently in a different South Pas location as a donation from the Chamber of Commerce.

Also on hand next Thursday—and throughout the month of December—will be Jolly Saint Nick for photos and to hear holiday wish lists. The Iron Works Museum will be decorated for the holidays, and the will have holiday treats for visitors.
