Donate Cookies For Hospitalized Vets Wednesday

Woman's Club of South Pasadena will host Operation Cookie Wednesday May 23.

It’s time to get out your cookbooks, find your favorite cookie recipe, and start making plans to participate in “Operation Cookie” for hospitalized veterans.

The annual event, sponsored by the , will be held on Wednesday May 23 at the and delivered in time for Memorial Day. 

The donated cookies will be repackaged into decorative containers saluting our veterans and delivered to local Veteran’s Hospitals. They will be distributed to patients in the Spinal Cord Injury facility; General and Post Surgery facility; Nursing and Convalescent care facility, the Psychological-Post Traumatic Stress care unit and to Hospice Care facilities. They will also be distributed to the V.A. Clinic in downtown Los Angeles.

Last year, over 20,000 cookies were donated to the project and enabled to the Club to provide cookies to over 1500 hospitalized and homeless veterans.  

Cookies, a minimum of two dozen, can be delivered to the Clubhouse at 1424 Fremont Avenue between the hours of 9:00 am and 12:00 noon, Wednesday, May 23 or the afternoon before between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. Donations of quality pre-packaged cookies are also welcome and sugar free cookies are also needed.

Curbside cookie drop-off will be available. The Club also needs volunteers to help pack the cookies and welcomes financial donations to help defray cost of materials used for “Operation Cookie.”
