Patch

I find it truly unfortunate that Patch has gotten away from its original goal, that of keeping the residents of the local community they  purport to represents apprised of news in their towns. When Patch arrived on the scene (I think it was 2011) it was a great source of local news and area happenings.  Then it was taken over by Huffington and relegated to a gossip and non relevance site. Most current articles these days are generic (dog adoptions, recipes, and other whimsical non news items) the majority have no bearing on the local community in the masthead. I used to really look forward to reading Patch and being made aware of area happenings. I am sorry it has been relegated  to what it now. It is not the local  editor's fault they are hamstrung by the powers at the top. Luckily there is a new site available, that has good accurate  and up to date stories about OUR COMMUNITY.
