2 South Pas Runners Cross Finish Line Prior to Boston Marathon Explosions

According to the 2013 Boston Marathon results page, two South Pasadena men finished the historic race ahead of the twin bombings.

South Pasadena residents Oscar Sanchez and Owen Kiely participated in Monday's Boston Marathon, and crossed the finish line hours ahead of two violent blasts that killed two people and left roughly 100 injured.

The results page for the 2013 Boston Marathon shows that Kiely, 29 finished the race at 2 hours 34 minutes 12 seconds and 26-year-old Sanchez at 2 hours 55 minutes 13 seconds. The explosions occurred 4 hours 9 minutes and 44 seconds into the race, near the finish line.
