Altadena Man Arrested After Allegedly Kicking a Dog, Hitting 2 People

South Pasadena Police believe the same suspect assaulted two people half an hour apart.

South Pasadena Police arrested a man they say hit a Von's employee in the face before kicking a dog and smacking another person with a plastic cup.

According to the weekly crime summary, the series of assaults began inside Vons, 1129 Fair Oaks Ave., on June 2. At about 7:30 p.m., 50-year-old Altadena resident Gregory Moore allegedly solicited an employee for money. When the employee asked Moore to leave, Moore allegedly hit the employee in the face. 

Thirty minutes later, in front of Gus's BBQ, 808 Fair Oaks Ave., Moore allegedly approached a person standing on the sidewalk and kicked the person's dog. After the victim confronted Moore, Moore allegedly hit the victim in the face with a plastic cup and left.

Police responded, associated Moore with both instances of assault, and subsequently arrested Moore on suspicion of assault.
