A 32-year-old man was facing possible criminal charges Saturday after police allegedly located more than 300 growing marijuana plants inside his Monterey Park home.

Bikram Soni was arrested Friday after police served a search warrant at his home in the 1100 block of Dover Way, according to Monterey Park police.

"Detectives had been investigating marijuana cultivation at the location for over a month," according to a police statement.

Police said Soni's two-story residence was "completely converted" into a growing operation where over 300 marijuana plants were found.

About 55 pounds of pot were seized, according to police, who said that Soni was booked at the Monterey Park Police Department with bail set at $165,000.

henk...their are two, or four editors for all of California now, depending on what story you rerad. Look at any patch across the southland, and the country. Many of the same stories are everywhere. So...just light up your fireplace, smoke a pipe, and have fun.

I'd definitely say that Monterey Park is in the area.
