Area Man Busted for 300+ Marijuana Plants

A 32-year-old man was facing possible criminal charges Saturday after police allegedly located more than 300 growing marijuana plants inside his Monterey Park home.

Bikram Soni was arrested Friday after police served a search warrant at his home in the 1100 block of Dover Way, according to Monterey Park police.

"Detectives had been investigating marijuana cultivation at the location for over a month," according to a police statement.

Police said Soni's two-story residence was "completely converted" into a growing operation where over 300 marijuana plants were found.

About 55 pounds of pot were seized, according to police, who said that Soni was booked at the Monterey Park Police Department with bail set at $165,000.
