Assault: Teenager Arrested at City Hall

A 19-year-old South Pasadena resident, yelling and agitated, got into an argument with a city employee and threw a paper notice at the person, police said. The man was arrested on suspicion of assault after causing a disturbance.

Arrested for assault for throwing a paper notice? C,mon. How about just a fine for littering?

haha - i actually heard this happening on the scanner, and didn't follow up because i thought it was a big nothing. So the crime bulletin surprised me.

That's only half of the story. After he was told to leave by officers he came back and had to be restrained by 3 officers.

Did you see it happen, James? Or did police share what happened? Can you share more? Was it drug-related? If it takes three officers to restrain a teen-ager, I'd think the kid was either on the football team or under the influence.
