Attempted Robbery Charges Sought Against Teen

Suspect who shook woman waiting in her car at Fair Oaks Pavilions is scheduled to appear in court July 27.

will officially seek attempted robbery charges against the who sought money from a woman sitting in her parked car at Monday and shook her, giving her a fright.

Authorities Monday continued to interview the teen, who is a runaway and a ward of the courts, and confirmed through his statements that he was in possession of the knife and intended to get money off of the woman.

"Once we got information that it was his and more of the story, he was trying to get money off her so he could buy some food at a local fast food place," said Sergeant Robert Bartl.

The teen was cited and released to a representative from the Department of Child Support Services, police said.

The teen is scheduled to appear in Alhambra Court July 27.
