Blood Drive Will Benefit Huntington Memorial Hospital Trauma Patients

Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena is a level two trauma hospital that serves La Crescenta and La Canada Flintridge residents.

The Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station invites the community to a blood drive for Huntington Memorial Hospital trauma patients on Nov. 13.

Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena is the nearest level two trauma hospital for all of us that live and work in La Crescenta and La Canada Flintridge.

"They are in low supply of blood donors due to the upcoming holidays. They need the community’s help with their basic supply," Sheriff's Deputy Jorge Valdivia said in a news release.

The blood mobile will be at the station parking lot at 4554 Briggs Ave., La Crescenta, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

To schedule an appointment, please contact Deputy Jorge Valdivia at 818.236.4021 or email him at jvaldivi@lasd.org.

Giving a pint of your blood is the ultimate gift of life for someone, and one of the best gifts you can give for the holidays. It's easy and gives you a "feel good" about yourself. Why not schedule an appointment today?

@Bob - Thanks for commenting! I'm thinking about tackling my needle fear and doing it. See you there?
