Crime Blotter: Robbery at Rite Aid

The following incidents were reported by the South Pasadena Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

A South Pasadena woman who allegedly stole items from Rite Aid hit and scratched an employee who chased after her and told her to return the items, authorities said.

The 50-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of robbery on March 17 following the 4:52 p.m. incident. The theft set off the products' sensor alarms, according to a South Pasadena Police bulletin. The employee ran after her, and that's when the suspect allegedy attacked the employee.
