Griffins of Kinsale is calling on all friends and family of firefighters!
Join the Jack Street Team from 93.1 Jack FM, at Griffins of Kinsale Friday from 6-8 p.m. to support the Guinness “Leary Firefighter’s Foundation Awareness Night. The pub is located at 1007 Mission St.
Back in 2000, actor and comedian Denis Leary established the Foundation a year after his cousin and childhood friend were two of the six firefighters who died in a Massachusetts blaze, according to the Foundation's website. The fundraising group now provides firefighters all over the country with advanced equipment and educational opportunities.
This year, the Leary Firefighters Foundation has its first corporate partner, Guinness. Proceeds from the South Pas event will be matched and donated to help the local fire station, according to the pub's Facebook page.
