Early-Morning Fire Breaks out at Temecula Home

The residential structure fire was reported at 4:49 a.m. in the 41600 block of Pinon Pine Way in Temecula, and was contained to the attic by about 5:04 a.m.

Residents were evacuated when a fire broke out in the attic of a Temecula home early Thursday, a fire official reported.

The residential structure fire was reported at 4:49 a.m. in the 46100 block of Pinon Pine Way off Wolf Creek Drive South, according to Melody Hendrickson, spokesperson for CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department.

"The Incident Commander reported smoke showing from the exterior of a one single story, single family home with occupants of the residence evacuated," Hendrickson wrote in a report.

Five engine crews and one truck company with at least 20 firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire, according to the report.

"Due to aggressive firefighter action, the fire was contained at approximately 5:04 a.m. to the attic of the residence," Hendrickson wrote.

No one was injured in the blaze.

The residents were not displaced.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation.

Chris your math is pretty bad. It was contained in less than 15 mins, but they were on station a whole lot earlier than written in this article.

I was the person who discovered the fire, reported the fire, got the residents out, and extinguished part of the fire before the dept. got there. The fire department got there very quickly and did an excellent job. Temecula residents should be thankful that we have such a professional department there for us.

And apparently thankful to you also Todd for doing alot of the work, and most important getting the family OUT of there. Good job and takes alot of juevos to walk into a house on fire, and I don't care how small or big that fire is, because in a seond it can be huge.

Brenda 12:43 am on Monday, September 24, 2012 Hey everyone!! Where was this fire in North East Temecula, or Murrieta at about 500 to 545pm Sunday? Not sure of the time cause we were out in the pool when it started and was put out. A chitload of fire trucks etc. going in that direction for a good 20 minutes, and they had water on that thing pretty fast and then to the white smoke and out. Whatever it was started HOT and Burning FAST black smoke. Hoping no one lost a home or business. Mirna? Got any ideas on this one yet? Sunday 23rd, around 5 to 545pm. From the mall area it was north east of Margarita.
