County firefighters conducted two helicopter rescues this weekend, one of an injured hiker in the Eaton Canyon area of the Angeles National Forest above Pasadena and the other of a mountain biker hurt in Cheeseboro Canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains near Agoura, authorities said.

Both victims were men and neither suffered severe injuries, a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher said.

The hiker fell and was stranded on a ridge around 11 a.m. Sunday before he was hoisted into a helicopter and taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital in Pasadena, the dispatcher said.

The mountain biker suffered a knee injury around 10:30 a.m. Sunday and was airlifted, also to Huntington Memorial, the dispatcher said.
