Watch Burglar Smash into Arco Gas Station (Video)
The thief smashed the glass door at the Arco Station at Mission Street and Orange Grove Avenue, and grabbed a pack of smokes after stealing coins and cash.
An unidentified man wearing a tightly pulled hoodie, used a hammer to shatter a glass door at the Arco Station on Mission Street before making off with an undisclosed amount of cash and coins.
According to a South Pasadena Police crime bulletin, the man smashed the gas station door at 2:34 a.m. on Black Friday (Nov. 23). He walked to the office and pried open a cabinet containing coins, then emptied the cash register of money before fleeing. The thief was in the gas station for about two minutes, police said.
He is described as 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet 1 inch tall, with a thin build, wearing a “Nike” gray colored hooded sweat jacket (with hood covering head and face), black jacket, black pants, black gloves, white sneakers and carrying a black backpack.
