A convicted felon wanted in Montana for sexual assault and assault of a police officer is believed headed to Southern California, authorities said today.

FBI spokeswoman Laura Eimiller said 28-year-old Kevin Anthony Briggs, a convicted felon and registered sex offender, was believed to be in the Bay Area and may be heading south to Mexico.

Briggs has a violent criminal history and should be considered armed and dangerous, or possibly suicidal, she said. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to his location and arrest.

Briggs is wanted in Montana for aggravated assault, sexual assault, assault on a police officer and escape -- offences committed in the city of Bozeman. He is also wanted on federal charges of unlawful flight to avoid prosecution.

Eimiller said Briggs is believed to have bought a one-way bus ticket from Missoula, Mont., to Spokane, Wa., on Feb. 1. From there, investigators believe he traveled to the Bay Area, she said. Briggs has used aliases, including Aimee MacIntire, Kevin Bacon, Kevin Briggs, Kevin A. Briggs, Timothy McCoy, James Meisner and James Zenon Meisner.

He is described as white, with brown hair and hazel eyes, between 5 feet 5 and 5 feet 7, 120-150 pounds, tattooed, with piercings in his ears, lips and navel. Briggs was last seen wearing gray sweatpants, a dark hooded jacket or parka, black shoes and a dark baseball cap.

Thank you Kaleb! I was just now going to say the same thing. Dear Patch...This hoodlum was apprehended in Portland, Oregon DAYS AGO. Let's move on, shall we?

lol. Patch needs to be ignored. If the content is so irrelevant, and you know that there is nobody there actually working to make local headlines possible, why do people keep reading and complaining?
