Man Arrested for Throwing Glasses, Bottle in Barkley's Restaurant

A Los Angeles man was arrested Monday night at The Barkley Restaurant and Bar at 1400 Huntington Drive for allegedly throwing drinking glasses and a bottle at a restaurant employee, according to Officer Richard Lee of the South Pasadena Police Department.

Michael Gutierrez, 46, of Los Angeles was arrested on assault charges after the police were called to the restaurant at 10:20 p.m, Lee said.

According to the account given to police, Gutierrez had wanted to order shots but the restaurant employee had told him to pay for drinks he and his friends had already had, Lee said.

The employee was not hit by the glass but did get beer on her person and had her cell phone broken in the process, Lee added.

After Gutierrez began throwing the glass his friends tried to restrain him and the restaurant called the police shortly after.

Gutierrez was released on $30,000 bail on Tuesday, according to records from the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.
