Man Calls Police on Himself After Smashing Window

The suspect left a trail of blood along El Centro after breaking a window and hurting his arm.

An intoxicated man called the police after allegedly punching his arm through the back door window of  early Saturday morning,

Around 4 a.m. Saturday, South Pasadena Police responded to a call regarding a possible assault with a deadly weapon. When police arrived in the 1000 block of El Centro, the man told officers he had been stabbed, Sgt. Tony Abdalla told Patch.

However, though further investigation, police say they found that the man had broken the back window of Ecco.

"There was blood all the way through the train station—there was a trail," said a manager working at Ecco. "There is still blood in front of the office next door to []. The landlord did not clean that up."

The man was transported to Huntington Memorial Hospital and suffered minor injuries, said Abdalla. Ecco has yet to press charges.

"There was no arrest; we identified the person involved, but the case is still pending," said Abdalla.
