Police Blotter: 2 Sexual Assault Incidents Reported

A victim was sexually assaulted by an acquaintance in the Big Lots parking lot, according to police reports.

The following crime and arrest information was supplied by the South Pasadena Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Rape

At 2:50 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, on the 600 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect entered a residence though an opened window and attempted to sexually assault an 18-year-old victim. South Pasadena Police reported that the victim's father entered the bedroom and the suspect threatened him with a knife. The suspect exited through the window. At 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, on the 1400 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect and victim are acquaintances on the same bus. According to reports, the victim exited the bus and was walking down the street when the suspect grabbed the victim, pulled her into the Big Lots parking lot and allegedly raped her. The suspect is described a black male, approximately 6' with a thin build and black hair.

Auto Burglary

Between 12:40 p.m. and 2:55 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, on the 1400 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect smashed the window of a '04 Saturn Ion and stole a purse. According to reports, the suspect used the victim's credit card to make several purchases.

Residential Burglary

At 10:49 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 8, on the 2100 block of Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim was sleeping when an unidentified suspect entered residence through an unlocked rear door. According to reports, the victim woke up and the suspect gave an excuse to be in the residence and left. The suspect is described as a 40-year-old Hispanic male with an athletic build.

Robbery

At 7:55 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, at GNC on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect exited the store without paying for joint supplements. The suspect is described as a 40- to 52-year-old white male, approximately 5'7" and 200 pounds, wearing a black jersery, grey pants and red cap.

Prostitution

At 9:20 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, on the 1400 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a Massage Villa employee offered a sexual act to an undercover officer. Possession of Burglary Tools

At 1:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, on the 1200 block of Huntington Alley, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with an outstanding warrant with burglary tools.

Possession of Paraphernalia

At 3:28 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, on the 1200 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect with an outstanding warrant was found to be in possession of narcotic paraphernalia and hypodermic needles. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Possession of Marijuana

At 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at South Pasadena High School, South Pasadena Police arrested a student in possession of marijuana.

Minor in Possession of Alcohol

At 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, on the 600 block of Hawthorne Alley, South Pasadena Police arrested three underage suspects drinking alcohol.

False Registration

At 2:38 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Oak Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

At 2:11 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the intersection of Fremont Avenue and Main Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

Drunk in Public

At 3:33 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, on the 1700 block of Bank Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was lying on the lawn of a witness' house. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect who was intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

DUI

At 1:13 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, on the 1100 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 2:10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Spruce Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 1:55 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, on the 1000 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 2:49 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Pine Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

Theft

At 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 12, on the 1700 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect removed a catalytic converter from a victim's vehicle.
