Police Blotter: Armed Robbery, Indecent Exposure and Auto Burglary

An armed robbery on Forest Avenue was among the crimes reported by South Pas Police this past week.

Auto Burglary

Between 8:25 a.m. and 8:43 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, on the 800 block of Orange Grove Place, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect broke into an ’08 Toyota Sequoia and removed credit cards, medical cards, cash and coins.

Between 8:34 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, on the 1100 block of Maple Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the door of a ’97 Honda Accord and removed GPS cables, vehicle registration, a stereo and jumper cables.

Between 10:49 a.m. and 11:09 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, on the 700 block of Brent Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the door of an ’06 Honda Civic and removed a GPS system, sunglasses, pocket knife and bandana.

Between 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 28 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, on the 100 block of Peterson Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect forced open the window of a ’95 Dodge Ram and removed gardening and power tools.

Between 9 a.m. and 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, on the 1700 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of an ’04 BMW 325i and removed a make-up kit.

Between 7 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 2, on the 600 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of an ’04 Toyota Highlander removed a subwoofer.

Residential Burglary

Between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29, on the 1300 block of Oak Hill Place, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence by smashing a rear bedroom window and removed a Playstation 3 game console, laptop computer and jewelry.

Between 5 p.m. on Friday, April 29 and 5:50 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, on the 700 block of Prospect Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered an apartment carport area and removed a bicycle from a bike rack.

Between 10:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29 and 2 a.m. on Saturday, April 30, on the 1800 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence and removed a Playstation game console, cash, digital camera and shoes.

Between 7:30 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3, on the 1900 block of Fletcher Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence through an opened rear sliding door and removed a camera and binoculars.

Commercial Burglary

At 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that two suspects exited the store without purchasing items and activated the store alarm. The suspects are described as two 15- to 16-year-old Hispanic males wearing black clothing and a black bag.

Between 12 a.m. on 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday, May 3, at the Coin Laundromat on Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered the store by smashing the glass front door and pried open an office door. 

Robbery

At 1:48 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, on the 600 block of Forest Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim and witness were walking southbound when they saw two suspects walking towards them. According to police reports, the first suspect approached the victim from behind with a knife and demanded the victim’s purse. The victim complied and the suspect ran westbound toward Arroyo Drive, police said. For more on this story, click .

Marijuana Possession

At 12:02 a.m. on Wednesday, April 27, at the intersection of Orange Grove Boulevard and Columbia Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect involved in a traffic collision was in possession of marijuana. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

D.U.I

At 12:39 a.m. on Friday, April 29, at the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Mission Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 3:45 p.m. on Friday, April 29, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol. According to police reports, the suspect was also involved in an non-injury traffic collision.

Lewd Acts

At 4:07 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, at on Oxley Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim, who is a minor, was inside the restroom when a suspect grabbed the victim’s buttocks twice. According to police reports, the victim told the suspect to stop and the suspect exited the restroom. The suspect is described as a 30- to 40-year-old white male with short brown hair and brown eyes wearing prescription glasses.

Indecent Exposure

At 5:43 p.m. on Thursday, April 28, on the 600 block of Arroyo Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim was sitting on a bench when a suspect called out to her. According to police reports, the victim saw the suspect masturbating while looking directly at her. For more on this story, click .
