Police Blotter: Stolen Vehicle Recovered

Police recovered a stolen vehicle from the 800 block of Forest Avenue.

The following crime and arrest information was supplied by the . It does not indicate a conviction. 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

At 1:34 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, on the 800 block of Forest Avenue, South Pasadena police recovered a stolen ’98 Honda Civic.

Arson

At 12:40 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, at  South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect ignited a toilet paper roll inside the restroom.

Residential Burglary

Between 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 20 and 1:05 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, on the 1200 block of Pine Crest Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence.

Auto Burglary

Between 5 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25 and 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, on the 1400 block of Lyndon Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect broke into a ’91 Mazda Navajo and a ’01 Ford Windstar and stole a jacket, iPod, camera and miscellaneous papers.

Between 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, at , South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed open the window of a ’12 Ford Edge and removed a wallet. According to reports, the suspect attempted to use one of the victim’s credit cards but was declined.

Assault

At 11:13 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, on the 1300 block of Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that two suspects entered a victim’s residence without permission. According to reports, the suspect and victim got into a fight before the suspects left.  The first suspect is described as a 28-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 5’9” and 230 pounds, wearing a green plaid shirt and baseball cap. The second suspect is described as a 23-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 5’7” and 140 pounds, wearing a plaid jacket.

Indecent Exposure

At 2:43 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, on the 600 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim was walking down the street when she saw a suspect masturbating inside a parked vehicle. The suspect is described as a 20 to 30-year-old Hispanic or Middle Eastern male, with a medium build and short bushy hair, wearing a white polo shirt with blue stripes and jeans.

Possession of Marijuana

At 4:50 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, on the 600 block of Arroyo Drive, South Pasadena arrested two suspects found smoking marijuana. 

False Registration 

At 8:15 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Marengo Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

Theft

At 1:02 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, on the 300 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim saw a suspect attempting to remove a bicycle from the back of a victim’s vehicle.  The suspect is described as an 18-year-old Hispanic male, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

At 2:25 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, at , South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect attempted to exchange a DVD player for a new one, but the store employee refused to do the exchange. According to reports, the suspect grabbed another DVD player and quickly exited the store.

At 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 23, at South Pasadena Middle School, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect stole an unattended cell phone.

Between 7 a.m. and 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, on the 1100 block of Mound Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a license plate from a victim’s vehicle.

At 12:19 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 27, on the 1000 block of Adelaine Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that two suspect stole electrical cables from a victim’s front yard. According to reports, a witness chased after the two suspects and they dropped the cables. The suspects are described as two males wearing light shirts.

Vandalism

At 9:05 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 22, at Almansor Center, South Pasadena Police reported that a student smashed and broke a copy machine. Police arrested the suspect.

At 3:50 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, on the 1000 block of El Centro Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect that smashed and broke a store window.

At 7 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, at the , South Pasadena Police arrested a former resident, who returned the hospital and threw a stole through a window.

DUI

At 1:02 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, on the 1000 block of Columbia, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 1:21 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24, on the 200 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 2:50 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 25, on the 1500 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 1:46 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 26, on the 1400 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.
