Police Blotter: Assault, Stolen Vehicle and Residential Burglary

South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect allegedly involved in string of auto burglaries.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 4 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4 and 7:20 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, on the 900 block of Indiana Avenue, reported that a ’97 Honda Civic was stolen. The vehicle was recovered on Sunday, May 8 by LAPD Hollenbeck Division.

Between 8:15 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Wednesday, May 4, at the on Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the windows of an ’07 Hummer H3 and an ’06 Nissan Moreno. According to police reports, the suspect removed a purse from the Hummer.

Between 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 5 and 8 a.m. on Friday, May 6, on the 1700 block of Foothill Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect broke into an ’06 Honda Odyssey and removed CDs, sunglasses and a medical box.

Between 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 5 and 9:50 p.m. on Friday, May 6, on the 1100 block of Beech Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a unidentified suspect smashed the window of an ’02 Saturn SL 1 and removed an iPod and stereo.

Residential Burglary

Between 10:17 a.m. and 11:14 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, on the 700 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a detached garage through an unlocked door and removed a bicycle.

Between 6 p.m. on Friday, May 6 and 10:49 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, on the 1900 block of Hanscom Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect entered a victim’s residence that was under construction and removed copper pipes, copper wires, fixtures, air compressor, lights and a water heater.

Commercial Burglary

At 11:04 p.m. on Monday, May 9, on the 700 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered an office building through an unlocked rear door, pried open four office units and removed computers.

Theft

Between 8:42 a.m. and 9:02 a.m. on Friday, May 6, on the 2000 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a parcel package from a victim’s front porch.

Between 10:09 a.m. and 10:39 a.m. on Monday, May 9, on the 1700 block of Ellincourt Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed license plates from a victim’s vehicle.

Assault

At 2:18 a.m. on Sunday, May 9, on the 600 block of Park Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect started to exchange words with a victim sitting inside a vehicle. According to police reports, the suspect dragged the victim out of the vehicle and hit the victim over the head with a skateboard. South Pasadena Police later found and charged the suspect. Possession of Burglary Tools

At 1:57 p.m. on Friday, May 6, at the intersection of Monterey Road and Pasadena Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect in connection with several auto burglary thefts. For more on this story, click . 

Daytime Loitering

At 1 p.m. on Monday, May 9, on the 1300 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that school officials located four students off campus without a permit. South Pasadena Police arrested the four suspects.

D.U.I.

At 1:25 a.m. on Friday, May 6, at the intersection of Mission Street and Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 2:07 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, on the 1700 block of Garfield, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 4:16 a.m. on Tuesday, May 10, at Orange Grove Avenue and the 110 Freeway, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect’s vehicle was blocking the freeway off ramp. According to police reports, the suspect was asleep at the wheel and driving under the influence of alcohol. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Drunk In Public

At 4 a.m. on Thursday, May 5, on the 400 block of El Centro Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

False Registration

At 9:55 p.m. on Saturday, May 7, at the intersection of Mission Street and Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.
