Police Blotter: 3 Stolen Vehicles on Monterey Road

South Pasadena Police reported that three vehicles were stolen and one broken into on Monterey Road last week.

Attempted Murder

At 1:24 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, at the intersection of Adelaine Avenue and El Centro Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect and victims, who are all acquaintances, met near and got into an argument. According to reports, the suspect pulled out a knife and slashed two victims. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 1 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25 and 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 27, on the 100 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a '96 Honda Accord was stolen. LAPD Northeast Division located the vehicle on Thursday, Dec. 29.

Between 10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25 and 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 26, on the 800 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a '90 Honda Civic was stolen.

Between 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28 and 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, on the 100 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a '91 Honda Accord was stolen.

Between 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28 and 6:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, on the 100 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect tampered with the ignition of a '03 GMC Yukon. A portable television/stereo combo unit was reported stolen from the vehicle.

At 5:52 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, on the 1500 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim left the key in the ignition of a '94 Olsmobile Royal and exited the vehicle. According to reports, the victim saw a suspect enter the vehicle and drive away. The suspect is described as an 18- to 20-year-old male with a dark complexion, medium build and dark hair, between 5'6" and 5'10".

Between 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2 and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, at the intersection of Charter Oak Street and Orange Grove Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a '88 Toyota Camry was stolen.

Auto Burglary

Between 11:59 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20 and 6 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, on the 1000 block of Sycamore Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of a '07 Chevy SS and removed a stereo, camera and iPod from the vehicle.

Between 2 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, on the 1800 block of Ramona Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect smashed the windows of a Chevy Trailblazer and a Mitsubishi Lancer and removed two bags and camera equipment from the vehicles.

Between 7:30 p.m. and 8 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, on the 400 block of Raymondale Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of a '04 BMW 325i and removed Christmas presents and chocolates from the vehicle.

Between 6:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 30 and 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, on the 1700 block of State Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a '00 Honda Civic and removed the vehicle registration, vehicle title, insurance card and paycheck stubs.

Between 3 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, on the 800 block of Prospect Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the door of a '03 Chevy Tahoe and removed a wallet and Playstation PSP from the vehicle.

Residential Burglary

Between 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23 and 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, on the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence and removed a computer external hard drive, surge protector, DVDs and miscellaneous personal items.

At 11:56 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 26, on the 1100 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a witness saw a suspect enter an apartment carport and cut a chain lock securing three bicycles. According to reports, the suspect made small talk with the witness and did not take any bicycles. South Pasadena Police arrived and arrested the suspect, who was on parole.

Between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2, on the 1900 block of Milan Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence and removed DVDs and medication.

Commercial Burglary

At 6:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect placed groceries in a shopping bag and exited the store without paying for them. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Robbery

At 7:35 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, on the 1500 block of Lyndon Street, South Pasadena Police reported that two suspects approached a victim and demanded money. The suspects left after the victim noted he didn't have money. The first suspect is described as a 20- to 25-year-old Black male, approximately 5'8" and 130 pounds with black hair, mustache and goatee, wearing a red baseball cap, silver chain necklace, red long sleeve shirt and blue jeans. The second suspect is described as a 20- to 25-year-old Black male, approximately 6' and 200 pounds, with black hair, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
 
Theft

Between 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22 and 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, on the 1700 block of Grevelia Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a victim's unlocked vehicle and removed two cameras.

Between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, on the 1800 block of Diamond Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a victim's opened garage and removed a bicycle.

At 12:26 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 24, on the 1200 block of Marengo Avenue, South Pasadena Police contacted two juvenile suspects, According to reports, one suspect possessed narcotic paraphernalia and a Kindle that was stolen from a parcel package left on a victim's front porch. South Pasadena Police arrested the two suspects.

Between 10 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25 and 5 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 26, on the 800 block of El Centro Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect stole a wallet from a victim's unlocked vehicle.

Between 7:30 p.m. and 11:10 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 26, on the 1000 block of Buena Vista Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect took a victim's wallet at party and used credit cards to make purchases in Hollywood.

Between 12:30 p.m. and 1:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, on the 1100 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect took a rotary hammer drill from a victim's opened truck bed.

Between 9:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 2 and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 3, on the 500 block of Garfield Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect stole a purse from a victim's unlocked vehicle.

Vandalism

Between 4:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, on the 1100 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect slashed the tires of a victim's vehicle.

Possession of Marijuana

At 1 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, on the 300 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found to be in possession of marijuana.

At 2:31 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 29, on the 800 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police stopped a  suspect riding a bicycle and carrying a water cooler. According to reports, the water cooler held a large amount of marijuana. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

False Information

At 6:20 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 26, on the 1900 block of Illinois Drive, South Pasadena Police arrested an unlicensed driver involved in a traffic collision. According to reports, the vehicle's passenger provided officers with a false name, but police were unable to verify the suspect's identity through fingerprints. South Pasadena Police released the suspect, but later discovered she had multiple arrest warrants.

DUI

At 12:25 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 25, on the 1500 block of Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect involved in a traffic collision found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 2 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, at the intersection of Garfield and Monterey Roads, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 11:08 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31, on the 1200 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 1:46 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 1, at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Bank Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.
