Police Blotter: Commercial Burglary, Stolen Vehicle and Assault

South Pasadena Police reported break-ins at Trader Joe's and Pappa Don's Deli as well as four auto burglaries on Amberwood Drive from Wednesday, April 20 through Tuesday, April 26.

Between 7:20 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, on the 1800 block of Olive Street,  reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence by removing a laundry room window and took jewelry and a television set.

Between 8:30 a.m. and 5:40 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at the intersection of Mission Street and Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a bicycle from a bike rack.

At 9:27 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at the intersection of Los Robles Avenue and Winthrop Road, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

Between 3:14 p.m. and 3:29 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, at  on Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a school security guard saw a suspect scratch a victim’s vehicle. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

At 8:58 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, on the 1000 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect and victim, who are roommates, got into an argument that escalated into a fight.

At 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, at  on Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect paid rent using counterfeit currency.

Between 7 p.m. on Thursday, April 21 and 10:19 a.m. on Friday, April 22, on the 700 block of Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect accessed a victim’s credit card account to make two unauthorized purchases.

Between 8:29 a.m. and 9:07 a.m. on Friday, April 22, on the 1800 block of Ramona Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a Nintendo DS and a videogame from a victim’s unlocked vehicle.

Between 1:42 p.m. and 2:45 p.m. on Friday, April 22, on the 700 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the window of a ’97 Honda Accord and tampered with the vehicle’s ignition. According to police reports, the suspect removed a stereo faceplate from the vehicle.

At 3:54 p.m. on Friday, April 22, at on Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that witness saw a suspect smoking marijuana in the girls’ restroom with three other suspects. South Pasadena Police reported that schools officials contacted the three suspects and found they were in possession of marijuana. South Pasadena Police later contacted the first suspect and arrested the four suspects.

Between 5 p.m. on Friday, April 22 and 6:44 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, at  on Pasadena Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered the restaurant by smashing a glass front door and removed a radio, food and beverages. There were no surveillance videos, but Police say they are still looking at leads and narrowing the investigation.

Between 8:50 p.m. on Friday, April 22 and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, at the AT&T store on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed cell phones from a safe in the store.

Between 12:30 a.m. and 4:50 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, at  on Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the glass front door, pried open a cash register and removed coins. There were no surveillance videos, but Police say they are still looking at leads and narrowing the investigation.

At 2:25 a.m. on Saturday, April 23, at the intersection of Mission Street and Marengo Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol

Between 3:26 p.m. and 3:39 p.m. on Saturday, April 23, on the 500 block of Prospect Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an ’89 Toyota Pick-Up Truck was stolen.

Between 8:50 a.m. and 12:50 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, on the 500 block of Prospect Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence through an unlocked window and removed a laptop computer, cash, portable DVD player, digital camera, game console and games.

Between 2:35 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, on the 500 block of Grand Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed license plates from a victim’s vehicle.

Between 2:45 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 24, on the 400 block of Raymondale Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed open the window of an ’09 Pontiac G5300 and removed a camera.

Between 9:31 a.m. and 9:47 a.m. on Monday, April 25, on the 700 block of Prospect Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed an I-pod, Bluetooth set, coins and miscellaneous cables from an ’07 Toyota Prius.

Between 5:30 p.m. on Monday, April 25 and 7:18 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, on the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive, that an unidentified suspect ransacked through the passenger area of a ’92 Lexus SC 400.

At 6:06 p.m. on Monday, April 25, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

At 6:43 p.m. on Monday, April 25, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found intoxicated in public with two outstanding warrants.

At 7:25 p.m. on Monday, April 25, at the intersection of Kendall Avenue and Berkshire Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with a suspended license and false registration tabs on a vehicle.

At 9 p.m. on Monday, April 25, on the 500 block of Sterling Place, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect who was in possession of marijuana.

Between 10 p.m. on Monday, April 25 and 6:45 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, on the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect ransacked through the passenger area of a Nissan Murano and an ’04 Infinity G35.

Between 1:30 a.m. and 6 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, on the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect removed a portable GPS from an ’06 Toyota 4-Runner. At 2:17 a.m. on Tuesday, April 26, on the 300 block of Raymondale Drive, South Pasadena Police located and arrested the suspect after a foot pursuit. According to police reports, the suspect was in possession of the portable GPS and admitted to breaking into several vehicles.

At 9:12 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, on the 1700 block of Diamond Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect and a victim, who are related, got into an argument that escalated into a physical fight.
