Police Blotter: Commercial Burglary, Theft and Vandalism

Two commercial burglaries were reported at Bristol Farms in South Pasadena this week.

The following arrest information was supplied by the . It does not indicate a conviction.

Commercial Burglary

At 6:51 p.m. on Friday, May 27 at on Fair Oaks Avenue, reported that two male suspects entered the store and hid liquor inside of a backpack. According to police reports, the suspects exited the store without paying for the liquor. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspects.

At 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 at Bristol Farms on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered the store and hid liquor inside of his clothes. According to police reports, the suspect exited the store and ran to a parked vehicle and drove away. The suspect is described as a 45- to 50-year-old male approximately 5’10” and 165 pounds wearing a multi-colored shirt, brown pants and a brown cap. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a blue Ford Explorer.

Between 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 28 and 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 31, at on Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the door to the gym and removed tools.

Theft

Between 7:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, on the 1400 block of Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a victim’s rear yard and cut a bicycle loose from a bike chain. According to police reports, the suspect took the bicycle and left behind bolt-cutters.

Between 1:45 p.m. and 3 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, on the 800 block of Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a purse from behind a victim’s chair.

Between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday, May 27, on the 2000 block of Primrose Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect entered a victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed a purse.

Between Saturday, May 28 and Sunday, May 29, on the 800 block of Stoney Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed vehicle registration tabs from a victim’s vehicle.

Between 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 29 and 11 a.m. on Monday, May 30, on the 1400 block of Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a victim’s rear yard and removed a bicycle.

D.U.I.

At 11:19 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, on the 1400 block of Spruce Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was driving erratically. According to police reports, the suspect was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol with a suspended driver’s license. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

At 1 a.m. on Friday, May 27, at the intersection of Orange Grove Avenue and Columbia Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 3:19 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, on the 1200 block of Oak Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 4:40 a.m. on Saturday, May 28, on the 1000 block of Palm Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect collided his vehicle into a street sign and into a front porch. A witness called the police as the suspect drove away, police said. South Pasadena Police located the suspect who was found driving under the influence of alcohol. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Drunk in Public

At 3 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, at the intersection of Alhambra Road and Bushnell Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

Vandalism

Between 2:45 p.m. and 3:14 p.m. on Thursday, May 26, on the 1600 block of Fletcher Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect cut wires to three street lights.

Between 3 a.m. and 3:16 a.m. on Friday, May 27, on the 17000 block of State Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect, who appeared to be drunk, smashed the window of a victim’s vehicle.
