Police Blotter: Indecent Exposure

An indecent exposure incident was reported in the 400 block of El Coronado.

Residential Burglary

Between 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24, on the 1300 block of Elm Park, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of a residence and removed jewelry from the household.

Commercial Burglary

At 5:55 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, at The  on Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect stole cash from the store’s cash register. The suspect is described a 25 to 35-year-old black male, approximately 5’8” with a buzz cut, wearing glasses and a black hooded sweatshirt.

Robbery

At 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, at on Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect ran out of the store with two Rolex watches. According to reports, a store employee ran after the suspect and recovered the two watches. The suspect allegedly threatened the employee with a gun. The suspect is described as a 20 to 25-year-old black male, approximately 5’6’, 140 pounds, with a buzz cut. The suspect work a blue “LA Dodgers” cap with a dark grey hooded sweater and blue jeans.

Battery

At 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 14, at the intersection of Mission Street and Prospect Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim was walking down the street when a suspect placed his hands on the victim’s shoulders and started to speak. The victim acknowledged the suspect and the suspect walked away. The suspect is described a 70 to 79-year-old black male, approximately 5’6” and 140 pounds, wearing a red track suit

Possession of Marijuana

At 8:17 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, at , South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was under the influence of marijuana. According to reports, the suspect was also in possession of a pocket knife and marijuana paraphernalia. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Fraud by False Pretenses

At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, on the 1100 block of Oak Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect called a victim, pretending to be the victim’s grandson. According to reports, the suspect told the victim he had been arrested and needed money for bail. The victim complied and found out his grandson had never been arrested.

Drunk in Public

At 1:12 p.m. on Tuesday, May 1, at on Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was causing a disturbance. Police located the suspect several blocks away, where he was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Theft

Between 12:30 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 22, at , South Pasadena Police reported that a victim left insulin pack in the restroom and later discovered it was missing.

Between 9 p.m. on Monday, April 23 and 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 24, on the 400 block of Hermosa Place, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed a purse.

Between 5:25 p.m. and 5:45 p.m. on Thursday, April 26, at  on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect stole an iPod.

Between 4 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. on Friday, April 27, at , South Pasadena Police reported that a victim and witness are playing on the field, when they saw a suspect go through a victim’s unattended bag. According to reports, the victim discovered an iPhone was missing from his backpack. Police located and arrested the suspect.

Between 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 28 and 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 1, on the 1900 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect broke the gas cap from a victim’s vehicle and removed fuel.

Between 1:10 p.m. and 1:25 p.m. on Monday, April 30, at the intersection of Orange Grove Avenue and Orange Grove Terrace, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed two leaf blowers and a weed eater from the truck bed of a victim’s vehicle. 

Indecent Exposure

At 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 26, on the 400 block of El Coronado, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim is making a delivery to a suspect’s residence, when the suspect exposed his genitals several times.

Counterfeit

Between 10:20 a.m. on Thursday, April 26 and 11:45 a.m. on Friday, April 27, at Starbucks on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an employee deposited cash into a bank, but discovered that one of the $20 bills was counterfeit.

Vandalism

Between 10 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24 and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, April 25, on the 1700 block of Grevelia Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect scratched a victim’s vehicle and flattened the tires.

DUI

At 12:52 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, at the intersection of Orange Grove Avenue and Orange Grove Terrace, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was stopped for a traffic violation and found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect, who is also an unlicensed driver.
