Police Blotter: Mail Truck Theft on Via Del Rey

Two suspects removed mail from a mail delivery truck on Friday, Sept. 28

Theft

Between 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 17 and 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, on the 800 block of Meridian Avenue, reported that an unidentified suspect entered a gated parking lot and removed a bicycle secured to a pole.

At 3:50 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, on the 1700 block of Via Del Rey, South Pasadena Police reported that a witness saw two suspects park next to an unoccupied mail truck. According to witness reports, one of the suspects reached into one of the mail truck’s opened windows and removed mail. The suspects drove away after removing loss, police said. The suspects are described as females driving a bronze Acura.

Between 4:42 p.m. and 5:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, on the 1300 block of Via Del Rey, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a razor scooter from a victim’s side yard.

Auto Burglary

Between 9 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 3 and 10:13 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 2, on the 1000 block of Sycamore Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of a ’03 Nissan SUV.

Residential Burglary

Between 12 p.m. and 12:55 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 30, on the 1600 block of Indiana Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the rear window of a residence and removed cash from the household. According to reports, the pool man discovered the broken window and called the police.

Between 7:20 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 4, on the 1700 block of Grevelia Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect cut a window screen and opened and opened an unlocked window to a residence. According to reports, the suspect removed an iPod touch from the residence.

Indecent Exposure

At 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, on the 1700 block of Ramona Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a female victim was walking from a friend’s home when she noticed a suspect sitting in a parked vehicle who was possibly masturbating. The suspect is described as a 30 to 50-year-old male with a medium build, short brown hair, mustache and dark skin. The suspect’s vehicle is described as an older model, maroon two-door pick-up.

Marijuana Possession

At 1:26 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, on the 300 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found to be in possession of marijuana after being stopped for a traffic violation.

Minor Possessing Tobacco

At 10:27 a.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, at the intersection of Pine Street and Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an officer contacted a suspect without an off-campus permit that was in possession of tobacco products. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Nighttime Loitering by a Minor

Between 8 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 30 and 1:13 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, on the 1700 block of Grevelia Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect ran away from home and was reported missing by her parents. According to reports, the . For

False Registration

At 12 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 29, on the 1100 block of Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect stopped for a traffic violation was in possession of a an expired driver’s license and had false registration tabs on a vehicle. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Dumping Waste Matter on a Public Lot

At 4:37 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3, on the 900 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a woman who urinated on a public lot.
