Police Blotter: Possession of a Loaded Firearm, Loitering and False Information

South Pasadena Police reported that one motorcycle and one vehicle were stolen this week.

The following arrest information was supplied by the . It does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 5 p.m. on Thursday, July 28 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, on the 1100 block of Beech Street, reported that a ’90 Honda Civic was stolen.

Between 9 a.m. on Friday, July 29 and 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 30, on the 70 block of Pinecrest Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an ’80 Honda C70 motorcycle was allegedly stolen.

Residential Burglary

Between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, on the 1800 block of Olive Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the rear door of a residence and removed a laptop computer and jewelry.

Commercial Burglary

At 8:58 a.m. on Friday, July 29, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect exited the store and activated the alarm. According to police reports, a drugstore employee asked the suspect to return to the store, yet the suspect ran away. The suspect is described as a 40-year-old Caucasian or Armenian male, between 5’8” and 5’9” with a medium build wearing prescription eye glasses and faded green pants and shirt.

Annoy/Molest Minors

At 6:38 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, at the intersection of La France Avenue and Maple Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a female victim was walking down Huntington Drive when she saw a suspect sitting inside a vehicle masturbating. According to police reports, the victim walked away but later saw the same suspect sitting inside a vehicle masturbating on La France Avenue. The suspect is described a white or light-skinned Hispanic male. The suspect’s vehicle is described as a newer two-door model red BMW with a tan convertible top.

Theft

Between 1:51 p.m. and 2:23 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27, on the 2000 block of Empress Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered the side yard of a residence and removed a bicycle.

Between 7 p.m. on Friday, July 29 and 3 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, on the 100 block of Peterson Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a license plate from a victim’s vehicle and replaced it with a stolen license plate.

Between 8 p.m. and 8:24 p.m. on Friday, July 29, at on Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect took purse that a victim left unattended on a table.

Possession of a Loaded Firearm

At 11:34 p.m. on Saturday, July 30, at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect arrested a suspect found to be in possession of marijuana and a loaded firearm. False Information to a Police Officer

At 8:40 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Alhambra Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an suspect’s vehicle has a warrant for the registered owner. According to police reports, the suspect gave a false name and did not have a driver’s license. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect. The suspect’s true identity was later discovered and he was found to have an outstanding warrant, police said.

Loitering by a Minor

Between 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 31 and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 2, on the 1000 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect left home without permission and later returned. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Vandalism

Between 5 p.m. on Wednesday, July 27 and 10:51 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, on the 200 block of Camino Del Cielo, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect sprayed graffiti on a victim’s vehicle.
