Police Blotter: Burglary, Drug Possession, Loitering

Stolen Vehicle

Between 12:15 p.m. and 2:20 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 5, on the 1800 block of Via Del Rey, reported that a ’95 Acura Integra was stolen. The vehicle was recovered on Monday, Aug. 8, by LAPD Hollenbeck division.

Between 1 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, on the 1000 block of Sycamore Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a ’09 Nissan Cube was stolen.

Auto Burglary

Between 9:15 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, at on Stoney Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of a vehicle and removed a cell phone.

Residential Burglary

Between 2:45 a.m. and 2:56 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 3, on the 200 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a witness saw a suspect exiting a victim’s apartment with a television. According to police reports, the suspect entered a parked vehicle with three other males suspects and drove away.

Loitering

At 2:28 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 6, on the 1900 block of Milan Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim saw a suspect enter a rear yard and exit with no loss. According to police reports, police located the suspect who was found to have an outstanding warrant. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Theft

Between 10 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7 and 2 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 8, on the 1400 block of Laurel Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect removed an iPod as well as coins from a victim’s unlocked vehicle.

Between 2:10 p.m. and 2:46 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, on the 400 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect removed a pain spray machine, tools and copper fittings from a victim’s unlocked vehicle.

Possession of a Controlled Substance

At 4:15 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, on the 800 block of Oneonta Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an officer conducted a probation check on a probationer and discovered a false ID and numerous ecstasy pills. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Possession of Marijuana

At 11:58 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 4, at the intersection of Atlantic Boulevard and Alhambra Road, South Pasadena Police reported a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle. According to police reports, the suspect was also found to be driving without a driver’s license and in possession of marijuana. 

At 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, on the 900 block of Mission Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was found to be in possession of marijuana. According to police reports, a second suspect was found to have an outstanding warrant. South Pasadena Police arrested the two suspects.

Loitering by a Minor

Between sometime Saturday, July 30, and 4:37 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect ran away from a group home and later returned. According to police reports, the suspect admitted to being out during night hours. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Vandalism

Between 6:38 p.m. and 7:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 9, on the 1400 block of Garfield Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect and victim, who are roommates, got into an argument. According to police reports, the suspect rook the victim’s Kindle and smashed it.
