Police Blotter: Residential Burglary, Robbery and False Information

There were two residential burglaries reported in South Pasadena.

The following arrest information was supplied by the . It does not indicate a conviction. 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

At 3:25 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, on the 2000 block of Maycrest Avenue, located a ’97 Honda Civic that was stolen in Alhambra.

Auto Burglary

Between 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m., on Sunday, July 17, on the 800 block of Stoney Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of a ’10 Mercedes CLK 350.

Between 11 p.m. and 11:46 p.m. on Monday, July 18, on the 1800 block of State Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of an unknown vehicle and removed an iPod.

Residential Burglary

Between 9:20 a.m. and 4:55 p.m. on Thursday, July 14, on the 1600 block of Wayne Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence through an unlocked rear door and removed a wooden chest.

At 2:30 a.m. on Monday, July 18, on the 800 block of Kendall Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim was awaken by noises. According to police reports, the victim went downstairs and saw two suspects attempting to pry open the rear door of the residence. The victim yelled at the two suspects and they ran away, police said. Suspect one is described as a 20- to 25-year-old Hispanic male with flat top hair wearing dark clothing. Suspect two is an unknown male.

Commercial Burglary

Between 6:57 a.m. and 7:28 a.m. on Friday, July 15, at a dentist’s office on Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the front door and ransacked the office.

Robbery

At 7:38 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, on the 200 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim retuned home and parked a vehicle in the underground parking structure of an apartment complex. According to police reports, the victim was exiting the vehicle when a suspect brandished a gun and demanded money. The suspect demaned more money, which the victim did not have. The victim instead gave the suspect jewelry and a credit card, police said. Police reported that the suspect told the victim to get additional cash from the apartment but ran away with victim’s phone when he heard footsteps. The suspect is described as a Hispanic male with a medium build between 6’ and 6’4” wearing a red bandana covering his face.

Theft

Between 11:52 a.m. and 12:20 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim left a laptop behind at the counter and exited the bank. According to police reports, the victim returned to the bank and the laptop was missing.

Between 1 p.m. and 1:45 p.m. on Monday, July 18, on the 800 block of Park Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a victim’s unlocked vehicle and removed prescription medication.

D.U.I.

At 1:18 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, on the 200 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 1:32 a.m. on Sunday, July 17, on the 1600 block of State Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol and without a driver’s license.

Drunk In Public

At 10:52 p.m. on Saturday, July 16, at the intersection of Mission Street and Grand Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found intoxicated and unable to care for herself.

False Information

At 12:10 a.m. on Saturday, July 16, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was found driving with false registration tabs on a vehicle. According to police reports, the suspect had a suspended driver’s license and three outstanding warrants. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.
