Police Blotter: Armed Robbery, Assault and Vandalism

South Pasadena Police reported an armed robbery last Friday.

The following arrest information was supplied by the . It does not indicate a conviction.

Armed Robbery

At 5:35 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, on the 500 block of Arroyo Square, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim was standing by a gardening truck when a suspect drove by and exited the vehicle.

According to police reports, the suspect walked up to the victim, pointed a gun and demanded the keys to the victim’s vehicle. The Victim did not have the keys to the vehicle, so the suspect proceeded to remove take's the gardener's leaf blower and weed eater from his car and place them in another driven by a second suspect, police said.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5’7” and 180 lbs, wearing tan pants with a black buzz cut and brown eyes. The second suspect is described as a Hispanic male. The vehicle is described as a ’78 white Ford van with no plates and a loud muffler. Suspect's vehicle is described as a 1978 white Ford van with no plates and a loud muffler. .

Stolen Vehicle

Between 8 a.m. and 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 16, on the 1700 block of Peterson Avenue, reported that a ’99 Ford F150 was stolen.

 

Auto Burglary

Between 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14 and 7:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, on the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed an iPod charger, Bluetooth, glasses, CDs and a gym bag from a ’02 Toyota Camry. 

Theft

Between Thursday, July 28 and Saturday, Aug. 6, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect accessed an office safe and removed cash.

Between 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 2 and 9:04 a.m. on Monday, August 15, on the 1900 block of Fletcher Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect removed license plates from a victim’s vehicle.

Between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 13, on the 1700 block of La Senda Place, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed cash from a victim’s purse.

Between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 15, on the 1600 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a lawn mower and leaf blower that were next to a victim’s gardening truck.

Assault

At 8:43 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect accused a victim of cutting in front of him in the checkout line. According to police reports, the two were arguing when the suspect hit the victim. The suspect is described as a 67-year-old white male approximately 6’4” and 200 lbs.

Possession of Marijuana

At 11 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found to be in possession of marijuana and tobacco products.

D.U.I.

At 12:24 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, on the 400 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect stopped for a traffic violation was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

At 9:27 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Fletcher Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect stopped for a traffic violation was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Drunk in Public

At 3:52 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, on the 1100 block of Mound Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

Vandalism

Between 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 10 and 7:58 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 11, at on Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect left graffiti around campus.
