Police Blotter: Sexual Battery, Heroin and a BB Gun

South Pasadena Police reported that two suspects fired a a bb gun at a victim's car window.

Sexual Battery

At 11:22 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the intersection of Meridian Avenue and El Centro, South Pasadena Police reported that a female victim exited the Gold Line at Meridian Station. According to police reports, a suspect riding a bicycle grabbed the victim in the buttocks area. The suspect is described a 20- to 25-year-old Hispanic male, approximately 5’6” and 180 pounds, wearing a white tank top and black pants. To view a rendering of the suspect, click on the photo to your right. .

Assault with a Deadly Weapon

At 8:52 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, on the 400 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim was driving when a suspect shot a BB gun and smashed the victim’s window. According to police reports, officers located the apartment where the shots were fired from and contacted the two suspects. South Pasadena police arrested the two suspects. .

Possession of a Controlled Substance

At 1:57 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, on the 1800 block of Spruce Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect overdosed on heroin and was transported to the hospital by the South Pasadena Fire Department.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

At 10:37 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, on the 300 block of Monterey Road, reported that three suspects were found driving a vehicle stolen from East L.A. South Pasadena Police arrested the three suspects.

Stolen Vehicle

At 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, on the 100 block of Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that a witness was inside an apartment when an unidentified suspect was seen sitting inside the victim’s vehicle tampering with the ignition. According to police reports, the suspect ran away when the victim came outside. The suspect is described as a male wearing a grey hooded-sweatshirt with black horizontal stripes.

Commercial Burglary

At 10:21 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 23, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an employee saw a suspect hide medicine inside his clothes and exit the store without paying. According to police reports, the suspect activated the sensor alarm and was located by police. The suspect—a parolee with an outstanding warrant—was found to be in possession of medicine, narcotic paraphernalia and hypodermic needles, police said. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Theft

Between 10 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18 and 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, on the 1700 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed a license plate from a victim’s vehicle.

D.U.I

At 8:34 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 17, on the 300 block of St. Albans Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was involved in a traffic collision and drove away. According to police reports, witnesses obtained the suspect’s license plate number and contacted police. Officers located the suspect at his residence and found the suspect to be driving under the influence of alcohol, police said. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Drunk in Public

At 2:39 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, on the 1600 block of Camden Parkway, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was sitting on the front porch of a witness’s residence and refused to leave. According to police reports, officers arrived and found the suspect to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

False Registration

At 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 18, at the intersection of Monterey Road and Diamond Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

Night Loitering by a Minor

Between 11:38 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 19 and 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 20, on the 600 block of Prospect Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect ran away from home and returned the next morning. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Vandalism

Between 9 a.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, on the 800 block of Mound Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect scratched a victim’s vehicle.
