Police Blotter: Stolen Vehicle, Commercial Burglary and Drunk in Public

One vehicle was reported stolen in South Pasadena last week.

The following arrest information was supplied by the . It does not indicate a conviction.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 4 a.m. on Sunday, June 5 and 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 6, on the 2000 block of Meridian Avenue, reported an ’87 Mazda RX-7 was stolen.

Residential Burglary

Between 8 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, on the 1900 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect forced open the front door of a residence and removed jewelry, Playstation 3 game system and laptop computer.

Between 12 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Friday, June 3, on the 1600 block of Indiana Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed a rear glass door.

Between 1:30 p.m. and 5:20 p.m. on Friday, June 3, on the 1900 block of Peterson Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence and removed jewelry.

Commercial Burglary

At 1:41 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported a market employee saw two suspects placing DVDs into a backpack. According to police reports, the employee called security and the suspects dropped the DVDs and exited the store. The two suspects are described as two 30- to 35-year-old Hispanic males approximately 5' and 200 pounds.

Between 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 2 and 7:50 a.m. on Friday, June 3, on the 2000 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect attempted to pry open the doors of two medical offices.

Theft

Between Saturday, June 4 and Tuesday, June 7, on the 1100 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed copper wire from an underground junction box from a city light pole.

D.U.I.

At 2:20 a.m. on Saturday, June 4, on the 1500 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 2:47 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, at the intersection of Main Street and Palm Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

Drunk in Public

At 4:29 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, on the 1700 block of Ellincourt Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect found lying in the stairwell of an apartment complex was intoxicated an unable to care for himself. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Receiving Stolen Property

At 1:51 p.m. on Wednesday, June 1, on the 1200 block of Pine Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a witness saw a suspect take magazines from a victim’s front porch, place them inside a duffel bag and ride away on a bicycle. According to police reports, the suspect was located and gave a false name to officers. South Pasadena Police were able to confirm the suspect’s real name and discovered the suspect has two warrants and an immigration hold. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

At 8 a.m. on Sunday, June 5, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Maple Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect riding a bicycle made a traffic violation and refused to stop. According to police reports, the suspect led the officers on a pursuit and jumped off of his bicycle and continued to run away. South Pasadena The suspect —who was later found to be a parolee at large—was in possession of burglary tools and was riding a stolen bicycle. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect. Daytime Loitering by a Minor

At 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 7, on the 1100 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a school official contacted police regarding a student who had not been on campus. According to Police reports, the suspect was located at home and had missed three consecutive days of school. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Consuming Alcohol in Public

At 1:10 p.m. on Tuesday, June 7, at Orange Grove Park on Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was found drinking alcohol in a public park. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

False Registration

At 5:23 p.m. on Monday, June 6, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Marengo Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving with false registration tabs on a vehicle.
