Police Blotter: Stolen Vehicle Recovered

South Pasadena Police recovered a vehicle stolen from Alhambra.

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

At 3:18 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, on the 900 block of Valley View Avenue, South Pasadena Police located a stolen vehicle.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16 and 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, on the 500 block of Magnolia Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a ’89 Nissan 240SX was stolen.

Residential Burglary

Between 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15 and 11:24 a.m. on Thursday, March 16, on the 1400 block of Grevelia Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect pried open the side door of a residence and removed a refrigerator from the kitchen. The suspect was unable to slide the refrigerator out of the house.

Between 7:30 p.m. and 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, on the 1000 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect smashed the front door of a residence and removed a blanket.

Between 1 p.m. and 4:24 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 16, on the 1200 block of Chelten Way, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect forced open a side window and removed silver bars, surfboard, paddleboard, cash and jewelry from a residence. 

Indecent Exposure

At 6:22 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, on the 1400 block of Bank Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim was walking down the street when she saw a suspect masturbating in public. The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 6’ and 180 pounds, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

False Registration 

At 2:48 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 17, on the 1400 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

Forgery

Between November 2011 and Friday, Feb. 17, a suspect falsely posed as a doctor and called to have a prescription filled.

False Information

At 11:09 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, on the 400 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was stopped for having false registration tabs on a vehicle. According to reports, the vehicle’s driver gave officers a false name. The vehicle’s driver was discovered to be a parolee at large. The vehicle’s passenger was also found to have an outstanding warrant. South Pasadena Police arrested the two suspects.

Drunk in Public

At 8:22 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, on the 1800 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect who was found to be intoxicated and unable to care for herself. 

DUI

At 1:08 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, on the 200 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 2:37 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18 on Orange Grove Avenue and Columbia Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 3:22 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, on the 600 block of Orange Grove Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

Theft

From January 2012 to Tuesday, Feb. 21, on the 1500 block of Stratford Lane, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect removed vehicle registration tabs from a victim’s vehicle.

Between 9 a.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, on the 1200 block of Lyndon Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered an apartment carport and removed a bicycle.

Between 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20 and 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, at the intersection of Margeno Avenue and Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect removed license plates from a victim’s vehicle.

At 8:41 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, on Mission Street and Meridian Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect removed a bicycle seat and tire from a locked bicycle. South Pasadena located and arrested the suspect.

At 1:02 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, on the 300 block of Monterey Road,  South Pasadena Police reported that a victim saw a suspect attempting to take loss from vehicle. The suspect is described as an 18-year-old Hispanic male wearing a black hooded sweater and jeans.

Vandalism

At 11:06 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 19, on the 1600 block of Oxley Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect threw a rock through a victim’s house window. 

Between 1 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 21, on the 2000 block of Marengo Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a supect threw food, trash and toilet paper at a victim’s yard.
