Police Blotter: Stolen Vehicle, Unlawful Dumping and Vandalism

South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found dumping oil and fuel into storm drains on July 6.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, on the 200 block of Monterey Road, reported a ’92 Ford Explorer stolen.

Between 8:30 a.m. and 6:48 p.m. on Monday, July 11, on the 1800 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported an ’07 Suzuki GSXR stolen.

Commercial Burglary

At 9:29 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect exited the store without paying for batteries and activated the sensor alarms. According to police reports, a store employee asked the suspect to return to the store, and the suspect ran away. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect several blocks from the store.

Theft

At 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 12, at on Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim left a wallet at the store counter. According to police reports, a suspect in line claimed the wallet was his and took it.

Between 1:09 p.m. and 1:25 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, on the 800 block of Montrose Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect removed a lawn mower nearby a victim’s gardening truck.

Assault

At 7:44 p.m. on Saturday, July 9, on the 1300 block of Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect and victim, who are roommates, got into an argument. According to police reports, the suspect pulled out a gun and shot toward the sky to scare the victim as they attempted to run away. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Drunk in Public

At 11:51 p.m. on Sunday, July 10, on the 1000 block of Orange Grove Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspicious person was knocking on doors. According to police reports, the suspect was found intoxicated and staggering in the street. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Unlawful Dumping

At 4:40 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, on the 600 block of Arroyo Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was found dumping oil and fuel down storm drains. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

False Information

At 2:13 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, at the intersection of Columbia Street and Orange Grove Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect was stopped for a traffic violation and gave a false name to a police officer. Police discovered the suspect’s true identity and found that the suspect had two outstanding warrants and a suspended driver’s license. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

False Registration

At 10:25 p.m. on Friday, July 8, on the 900 block of Mission Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with false registration tabs on a vehicle.

Vandalism

Between 2 p.m. on Friday, July 8 and 8 a.m. on Monday, July 11, at , South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect accessed the roof and damaged air conditioning pipes.
