Police Blotter: Suspects Trespass and Smoke Marijuana at SPHS Field

South Pasadena Police arrested two suspects for trespassing onto the South Pasadena High School football field this week.

The following arrest information was supplied by the South Pasadena Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Trespassing

At 1:41 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the football field on Diamond Lane, South Pasadena Police reported that two suspects entered the locked announcer box through an opened window. According to police reports, the two suspects were being loud when a jogger on the track heard them. The witness contacted the police, and South Pasadena Police arrested the two suspects, who admitted they were smoking marijuana. South Pasadena Police did not disclose the identity of the suspects.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 5 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 and 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, on the 1800 block of Ramona Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a ’90 Toyota Camry was stolen.

Between 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9 and 6:24 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10, on the 1700 block of Rollin Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a ’87 Toyota Camry was stolen. Police recovered the vehicle at 6:50 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10.

Between 1 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 12, on the 1600 block of Garfield Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a ’97 Honda Accord was stolen. Police recovered the vehicle on Monday, Sept. 12.

Auto Burglary

Between 4 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, on the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect smashed the window of an ’08 Nissan Altima and ransacked the interior.

Commercial Burglary

Between 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 10 and 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 11, at Kinesthetics on Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered the business through an unlocked rear window and kicked open an interior office door.

Theft

Between 11:18 a.m. and 11:29 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, at the SPUSD offices on El Centro Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect took unattended text books left in front of a storage bin.

False Registration

At 2:46 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, at the intersection of Marengo Avenue and Spruce Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect with a suspended driver’s license and false registration tabs on a vehicle.

Drunk in Public

At 11:44 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, on the 1400 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a bus driver flagged down a patrol officer to inform him of a intoxicated passenger on his bus. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect who intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

At 11:50 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 9, on the 1500 block of Oak Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself.

Nighttime Loitering by a Minor

At 4 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 8, at the intersection of Mission Street and Adelaine Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect riding a bicycle was stopped for a traffic violation. According to police reports, the suspect was in possession of tobacco products. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Vandalism

Between 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 6 and 4:14 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 7, on the 1000 block of Adelaine Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect poured an unknown liquid on a victim’s vehicle.

Between 5:46 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 13, on the 1600 block of Amberwood Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect smashed the window of a victim’s vehicle.
