Police Blotter: 3 DUI Arrests

South Pasadena Police charged three suspects for driving under the influence of alcohol this week.

The following crime and arrest information was supplied by the . It does not indicate a conviction. 

Recovered Stolen Vehicle

At 1 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, at the intersection of Diamond Avenue and Oak Street, South Pasadena Police were led on a short pursuit after attempting to stop a stolen vehicle. The driver crashed into a driveway and attempted to run away, before police apprehended him. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect, who was found to be in possession of narcotics paraphernalia.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 8 and 6:30 a.m. on Friday, March 9, on the 2000 block of Primrose Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a ’95 Honda Civic was stolen.

Residential Burglary

Between 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 11 and 1:20 p.m. on Monday, March 12, an unidentified suspect entered a residence on the 1500 block of Huntington Drive and removed two laptop computers.

Commercial Burglary

At 10:50 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, an unidentified suspect entered the store and asked to see a cell phone. According to reports, a store employee went to get the cell phone and the suspect grabbed a laptop computer and exited the store without paying. The suspect is described as a 35 to 40-year old male, with blonde hair and brown eyes, approximately 5;7” and 180 pounds, wearing a Hawaiian shirt, jeans and construction boots.

Auto Burglary

Between 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 1 and 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, March 8, on the 1500 block of Diamond Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a ’65 Chevy Caprice and stole a stereo.

Robbery

At 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, on the 1400 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that a victim exited a restaurant and was pushed by a suspect. According to reports, the suspect grabbed a wallet from the victim’s pocket.

At 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, on the 1000 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect ran away from a group home. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Contracting without License

Between Monday, Jan. 23 and 9:41 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, on the 1400 block of Mission Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect used another company’s contractor’s license to obtain city permits for construction work. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Possession of Paraphernalia

At 1:22 p.m. on Wednesday, March 7, on the 700 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect for narcotic paraphernalia.

DUI

At 12:25 a.m. on Friday, March 9, at the intersection of Fair Oaks Avenue and Rollin Street, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 3:17 a.m. on Sunday, March 11, at the intersection of Milan Avenue and Monterey Road, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

At 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, March 11, on the 1000 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found driving under the influence of alcohol.

Vandalism

Between 11 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Monday, March 12, on the 700 block of Hawthorne Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect threw a rock through a victim’s window.

At 1:40 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, on the 1100 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect threw a rock through a victim’s window.
