Police Blotter: 2 Residential Burglaries

Three thefts, two residential burglaries one stolen vehicle were reported in South Pas last week.

The following crime and arrest information was supplied by the . It does not indicate a conviction.

Reckless Driving

At 4:17 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, on the 100 block of Pasadena Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that two suspects failed to pull over when they were found driving a vehicle with false license plates. According to reports, the suspects led officers on a vehicle pursuit, but eventually pulled over and were arrested without incident. Police found the suspects possesed narcotic paraphernalia.

Stolen Vehicle

Between 6:30 a.m. and 9 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, on the 1200 block of Blair Avenue, reported that a '03 Mazda MPV was stolen.

Residential Burglary

Between 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10 and 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, on the 800 block of Glendon Court, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect used a hammer to force open the rear door of a residence. At 12:55 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, a witness saw four suspects in the rear yard of the same residence near the victim's vehicle with the doors opened. South Pasadena Police arrived and contacted the suspects.

Between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, on the 900 block of Bank Street, South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect entered a residence through an unlocked rear door and removed a TV, computer and jewelry. According to reports, a witness saw the suspect at the victim's residence and contacted the police. South Pasadena Police located and arrested the suspect.

Commercial Burglary

At 2 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 15, at on Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect exited the market without paying for groceries. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Detective Arrest

At 2:55 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, South Pasadena Police reported that a resident failed to register as a sex registrant in 2002. According to reports, the suspect left the county and moved to Taiwan. The suspect was arrested in Taiwan for immigration status and returned to the United States. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect upon arrival at LAX.

Possession of Burglary Tools

At 2 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, on the 1000 block of Arroyo Verde, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect gave officers a false name. According to reports, the officers performed a fingerprint check on the suspect and discovered the suspect's true name. The suspect was on parole, had an outstanding warrant and possessed burglary tools. Police then searched the area for crime victims and found another suspect, with an outstanding warrant, hiding under a vehicle. South Pasadena Police arrested the two suspects.

Possession of a Controlled Substance

At 1:23 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, at the intersection of Arroyo Verde and Marmion Way, South Pasadena Police contacted two suspects sitting in a vehicle with expired registration tabs. According to reports, both suspects were on parole and one possessed a controlled substance. South Pasadena Police arrested the two suspects.

Throw Substance at a Vehicle

At 9:38 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, on the 600 block of Fremont Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect threw eggs at a police unit. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Drinking in Public

At 12:29 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, on the 1100 block of Fair Oaks Avenue, South Pasadena Police arrested a suspect found drinking in public.

Theft

Between 8 a.m. and 2:10 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, on the 900 block of Lyndon Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect entered a victim's unlocked vehicle and removed the third row bench seat.

Between 5:45 p.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 11, on the 1200 block of Huntington Drive, South Pasadena Police reported that suspect removed a bicycle from a victim's front porch.

Between 2 p.m. and 2:13 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, on the 400 block of Orange Grove Avenue, South Pasadena Police reported that a suspect attempted to cut water back flow device from a sprinkler system, but failed.

Vandalism

At 3:52 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 13, at the intersection of Huntington Drive and Maple Street, South Pasadena Police reported that a witness saw a suspect write graffiti on a sign and post. South Pasadena Police arrested the suspect.

Between 6:30 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 16, at , South Pasadena Police reported that an unidentified suspect vandalized a victim's vehicle by throwing eggs and rocks and smashing a window.
