Police Investigate an Armed Robbery on Forest Avenue

Police are looking for two suspects involved in an armed robbery on Forest Avenue.

Two unidentified 20-year-old hispanic males are suspects in an armed robbery that took place on Forest Avenue Thursday afternoon, police say. 

Around 1:48 p.m. yesterday, a victim and a witness were walking southbound towards Magnolia Street on the 600 block of Forest Avenue when they saw the two suspects walking towards them.

The suspects walked past the victim and witness without saying a word, but then one came from behind and held a knife to the victim. The suspect then demanded the victim's purse and necklace. After the victim handed over her purse, the suspects ran westbound towards Arroyo Drive. The witness suffered no loss.

Around 5 a.m. today, the victim’s purse was found in a trashcan at McDonald's (7331 N. Figueroa, Los Angeles) about three miles away from where the crime had happened. The suspects used the victim’s credit cards to make several unauthorized purchases.

Both suspects are said to have shaved hair and weigh around 150 pounds.
