Return of the Grinch? More Packages Swiped from Homes

Weeks after a surveillance camera caught an unidentified woman stealing holiday packages off a resident's front porch, boxes are going missing again.

Send packages to your work address if you're not going to be home, as unidentified thieves continue to make off with boxes left unattended at South Pasadena homes, authorities said.

Most recently, according to the South Pasadena Police Department crime bulletin for Dec. 12-18, a witness found torn and opened shipping boxes in the carport of an apartment complex in the 300 block of Raymondale on Dec. 17. The boxes had been shipped to an apartment complex a block away, in the 1800 block of State.

Earlier this month, a surveillance camera video taped a woman who stole packages right off a resident's gated, front porch. Police encourage residents to send items to a place where they won't sit unattended for large swaths of time.
