Smoke in South Pas from Brush Fire in L.A. County

South Pas Fire Department says there is no fire in town.

With ashes and smoke filling the skies of South Pasadena today, residents thought there may be a fire in town. 

"[I] saw the smoke wafting through our neighborhood at Brent and El Centro," said Richard LaBrie. "Ashes were coming down and smoke was pretty visible overall."

said, however, that the smoke is a result of a brush fire in L.A. County off of the 10 Freeway.

According to several news outlets, The Los Angeles County Fire Department says the brush fire burned an East Los Angeles-area hillside near the county fire headquarters, but no building damage or injuries have been reported.
