South Pas Police Chase Down La Puente Pair

An officer noticed a Toyota pickup bearing the stolen license plate of a 2007 BMW, triggering a pursuit and arrest of a man and woman.

South Pasadena police pursued and stopped a duo from La Puente early Monday morning after an officer ran the plate of the pair's pickup and found that it belonged to a 2007 BMW.

Sgt. Craig Cooper of the South Pasadena Police Department said the pursuit triggered near Mission Street and Fremont Avenue at roughly 4 a.m. and ended in the area of York Boulevard and Figueroa Street in Highland Park.

A 19-year-old woman was the driver and arrested on suspicion of grand theft auto, evading arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune, which added that the passenger, a 21-year-old man, was arrested for grand theft auto and possession of drug paraphernalia.
