• 7-28, 12:36 PM, 400 block of Magnolia. ’98, Honda Civic. Automated License Plate Reader alerts officers to a stolen vehicle. Officers locate vehicle parked on the street and is found to be stolen from El Monte.

• 7-25, 7:30 PM to 7-26-13, 8 AM, 1600 block of Fremont. ’94, Honda Accord. Recovered on 7-28-13 by Bell PD.
AUTO BURGLARY
7-27, 8:45 PM to 7-28-13, 9:40 AM, 1000 block of El Centro. ’05, Lexus LX 470. Suspect(s) smashes window to gain entry. LOSS: Purse.
RESIDENTIAL BURLGARY
• 7-30, 2 PM to 3:30 PM, 300 block of Pasadena (garage). Suspect(s) enters victim’s opened garage and takes loss. LOSS: Bicycle.
• 7-23, 10:20 AM to 7-24-13, 8:20 AM, 700 block of Bonita (garage). Suspect(s) enters victim’s opened garage and takes loss. LOSS: Bicycle.
COMMERCIAL BURLGARY
7-26, 3:30 PM to 7-29-13, 9:06 AM, 1000 block of Mission. Restaurant is under construction and suspect(s) enters through an unlocked janitor’s door.
LOSS: Tools, copper wires and brass pipe fittings.
CARJACKING
7-27, 11:55 PM, 1600 block of Wayne. Victim returns home and exits vehicle. S1 approaches from the street and points gun at victim, as S2 stands behind S1. S1 demands wallet and keys from victim and victim complies. S1 drives away in victim’s vehicle as S2 follows behind driving a silver Honda, which was parked across the street. LOSS: White, ’07, Lexus IS 350, car keys and cell phone.
WEAPON USED: Black unknown handgun. SUSPECT VEHICLE: Silver, Honda.
SUSPECTS ‘ DESCRIPTION: S1 – Male, Black, 20-30 years, facial hair wearing a dark t-shirt and a beanie. S2 – Male, White, 20-30 years, heavyset, wearing beanie.
ASSAULT
7-26, 11 PM, 800 block of Fair Oaks (alley). Victim is walking and is approached by suspect. Both exchange words and suspect hits victim. Victim and suspect engage in a fight, and victim is knocked down to the ground. Suspect continues to hit victim as witness approaches and yells at suspect. Suspect then runs away.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, medium build, 600, black medium length hair, dark colored jeans and a light colored t-shirt.
POSSESSION OF BURGLARY TOOLS/FALSE INFO TO POLICE OFFICER
7-26, 2:45 PM, 100 block of Marmion Way. Suspects are stopped for a traffic violation and S1 (driver) is found to have a suspended driver’s license. S2 (passenger) provides a false name to officers and is found to be in possession of burglary tools. S2’s true name is later revealed. S1 – Female, Hispanic, 36 years, Los Angeles. S2 – Male, Hispanic, 27 years, Los Angeles.
THEFT
• 7-30, 8 AM to 8 PM, 2000 block of Meridian. Suspect(s) takes loss from victim’s front porch. LOSS: BBQ grill.
• 7-30, 4:30 PM, 1200 block of Fair Oaks (Pavilions). Suspect enters store holding a baby carrier with a blanket over it. Suspect places loss inside baby carrier and exits store without paying for loss. LOSS: Liquor.
SUSPECT DESCRIPTION: Male, Hispanic, 30-40 years, carrying a baby carrier.
• 7-30, 11:40 AM to 11:44 AM, 1100 block of Huntington. Suspect(s) takes loss that is left leaning against a wall. LOSS: Bicycle.
• 7-29, 7 PM, 2000 block of Primrose. Witness sees suspect driving slowly on the street, then suddenly back up and stop in front of victim’s residence. Witness sees S1 (passenger) exit vehicle and walk to victim’s front porch and takes loss. S1 then walks back to suspect vehicle, as witness yells at S1. S1 enters vehicle and S2 (driver) drives away.
LOSS: Parcel package. SUSPECT VEHICLE: Black, possibly VW Passat with dealer paper plates.
SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION: S1 – Female, Hispanic, 503-504, 160, wearing black tank top and black shorts. S2 (driver) – Female, possibly wearing a bright pink wig.
• 7-29, 6:45 AM to 7:45 AM, 800 block of Park (Garfield Park).
Suspect(s) opens unlocked tool box on victim’s vehicle and takes loss. LOSS: Leaf blower, weed wacker and hedge trimmer.
• 7-28, 4:50 PM, 600 block of Fair Oaks (Bristol Farms). Suspects enter store and hides loss inside purse. Suspects then exit store without paying for loss. LOSS: Liquor.
SUSPECTS DESCRIPTION: S1 – Male, Black, 20-28 years, 600, 240, wearing red and white stripe shirt, black pants, blue baseball cap. S2 – Female, Black, 20-28 years, 507, 130, black pulled back hair, wearing a white tank top and beige pants. S3 – Female, Black, 20-28 years, 507, 130, black braided hair, wearing pink and white striped shirt, dark pants.
• 7-27-13, 12:15 PM, 1100 block of Fair Oaks (Vons). Employee sees suspect enter store and places loss inside shopping cart. Employee sees suspect exit store with shopping cart. Employee chases after suspect and detains suspect until police arrive. LOSS: Groceries (recovered).
SUSPECT ARRESTED: Female, Hispanic, 39 years, Fresno.
• 7-24, 7:48 PM, 1100 block of Fair Oaks (Vons). Suspect enters store and places loss inside shopping cart. Employee sees suspect exit store with cart. Employee chases after suspect and recovers cart, as suspect walks away. Officers respond and locate suspect a block away. LOSS: Groceries (recovered). SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, White, 52 years, Los Angeles.
• 7-23, 8 PM to 7-24-13, 11:45 AM, 1700 block of Fair Oaks. Suspect(s) cuts lock securing loss to a pole. LOSS: Bicycle.
• 7-12 to 7-23-13, 500 block of Garfield. Suspect(s) takes loss from victim’s mailbox. LOSS: Mail.
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE
7-25, 12 PM, 1900 block of Primrose. Officers respond to a male (S1) and female (S2) arguing in the street. Officers arrive and contact S1 who is found to be in possession of methamphetamine. S2 is contacted several blocks away and is found to be under the influence of a controlled substance. SUSPECTS ARRESTED: S1 – Male, White, 22 years, Los Angeles. S2 – Female, Hispanic, 18 years, Los Angeles.
DRUNK IN PUBLIC
7-28, 2:38 AM, 700 block of Arroyo. Officers respond to a subject knocking on doors. Officers arrive and contact suspect, who is found to be intoxicated and unable to care for himself. SUSPECT ARRESTED: Male, Hispanic, 22 years, Los Angeles.
IDENTITY THEFT/CREDIT CARD/CHECK FRAUD
7-13 to 7-26-13, 1000 block of Avon. Victim mails check and suspect(s) gains access to victim’s check by unknown means. Suspect(s) alters the payee and cashes check.
