Police: Suicidal Woman Pulled from Overpass

South Pasadena Police received numerous 9-1-1 calls about a woman who appeared to want to jump onto the Arroyo Seco Parkway.

South Pasadena Police pulled to safety a suicidal woman who stood atop the Fair Oaks Avenue bridge looking to jump onto the Arroyo Seco Parkway, authorities said. 

Sgt. Tony Abdalla told the San Gabriel Valley Tribune that police responded to the location at 2:20 a.m. Saturday after several 9-1-1- calls about a woman dressed in black attempting to jump onto the 110 Freeway, according to the article. 

Police grabbed the 29-year-old woman and pulled her to safety, Abdalla told the newspaper. She was later taken for psychiatric evaluation.
