UPDATE: August Hearing Date Set for Morris Gussin

Former South Pasadena resident is scheduled to appear in a pre-trial hearing next month.

Morris Gussin, also known as the is set to appear in a pre-trial hearing on Aug. 15 in Los Angeles at Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center; Gussin opted for a jury trial

Gussin is facing 24 counts of grand theft and security violations for his alleged involvement in a $3.4 million in which he is charged with falsely leading clients to believe he was investing their money. In April, , which would have landed him a maximum of nine years in prison. 

The jury trial would likely begin in mid-September, said South Pasadena Police Det. William Earley, and  may testify.
