The Presidential Primary Election will take place on Tuesday, June 5, 2012. All registered voters have been sent the official sample ballot and voting instructions. Sample ballots are also available from the County of Los Angeles Registrar- Recorder/County Clerk’s website at www.lavote.net as well as at and .
The booklet explains several important changes affecting the election process for this election, namely the top two primaries; crossover voting for presidential primaries; and the 2011 redistricting.
At the June 5 election, voters will be voting on the Office of the President, on U.S. Senatorial and Congressional offices, on State Senatorial and Assembly offices, on Judicial offices, on County offices, and on State and County measures.
Voters can find their polling location on the back of the voter booklet. Polling locations can also be located at the County website www.lavote.net (Polling Place locator) or by calling the City Clerk’s Office at 626-403-7230 or the Library Reference Desk at 626-403-7350.
Sample ballots along with maps of the new Congressional, State Senate, and Assembly districts for South Pasadena can be found at the City Clerk’s Office and the South Pasadena Public Library. Both sites also have the official voter information guide in standard and enlarged-print sizes. This was sent to voters some weeks ago and contains information about propositions and other voter information along with statements of U.S. Senate candidates.
The City Clerk’s Office is located at 1414 Mission Street, second floor. The Library is located at 1100 Oxley Street.
