A Romney Rally in South Pas Wednesday? (Photos)

Did Mitt Romney start the 2016 presidential campaign in South Pas?

What appeared to be a Mitt Romney Rally in Dover, New Hampshire was really a shoot for an upcoming HBO movie.

The set was adjacent to the South Pasadena Historical Museum and Gold Line station. The would-be rally had one commuter asking "is Romney going to be here?"

A stage with Romney supporters was set up, as were picnic benches complete with food. The museum was changed to "Dover Hardware.'' The site was chose for its similarity to a New England setting.

Alas, Romney never showed!

So this is how they stage documentary propaganda? What is the title? Empty Chairs - The Current State of the GOP?

Didn't everyone get the memo: he lost. Notice how many GOP folks are seated.

As the country goes down the drain under the failed leadership of our idiot president glad the left still has a sense of humor.

Thank heavens for this explanation as I saw a Mittens campaign bus parked on Mission today.....my first thought was, oh hell no, he can't be in South Pas...next was, get that bus to a dump asap.

empty chairs were there for Clint.

I know reality is still hard for the GOP.

Geez. You guys are all kinds of awful. Name callers, and ugly, gloating winners. Nothing I'd like to teach my kid. I was sort of hoping South Pas was a more civilized place to raise a family.

All in good fun is one thing....but how do we know? Thank You Bess!

I was shocked when I saw the bus on the street but as I passed the filming I just laughed. Kay, why would SP be different? If the other side won they'd do the same.

We don't like trash in our town.

Funny that some people can not leave the election behind them and have to continue to be poor citizens who can not accept the results . The people have spoken. These photos were meant as fun way to make residents aware of what was happening in town. The fact that we typified a New England town should have been a sense of pride. Instead some tried to turn back the clock and bring out their petty sour grapes. Romney accepted the results and went on with his life, why can't the rest of you!

When I saw the banner I wanted to shout, does this mean we get a do-over?

Whatever your reaction to this surprising sight yesterday, sure seems like it evoked some emotion! Huge shout out to Henk for shooting what he saw, as I was home with both knees iced and propped up - so thanks again, Henk :-)

This is a community board where people comment on everything good and bad. It's a little naive to think some people wouldn't comment negatively at the sight of a Romeny rally in South Pasadena. Real or fake. And keep in mind there are PLENTY of "sour grapes" comments from his supporters on Patch. Thanks for the lovely photos, Henk.
