Reminder: Fair Oaks Meeting Monday Night
The meeting is open to the public and will take place 6:30 p.m. Monday in the community room connected to the South Pasadena Public Library.
The Fair Oaks Corridor community meeting originally scheduled for 8 a.m. August 22 at has been changed to 6:30 p.m. August 22 at .
The meeting is open to the public and intended for discussion about construction related to Fair Oaks Avenue. A traffic design engineer will also be on hand to explain the design, theory and integration of bulb-outs along Fair Oaks.
The City decided in early August that the bulb-outs along Fair Oaks would be treated with an 8-inch white edge line after the .

An example of what the stripe will look like can be seen on Monterey Road just east of Fair Oaks. (This particular stripe doesn't go all the way around the bulb-out, but will give residents an idea of its size, Deputy Public Works Director Shin Furukawa said.)
The white stripe should sufficiently improve visibility of the bulb-outs, according to City staff. No additional treatments—such as red paint or physical barriers—will be added at this time. Additionally, the city is not considering removal of bulb-outs.
